Global Thriving at Work Awards 2024


On Thursday 9 May we were delighted to celebrate our members from across the world, and their workplace wellbeing journeys, at the Global Thriving at Work Awards.

This year we were overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of entries in the awards, which were submitted in one of six categories. After two competitive rounds of judging, we are pleased to share the outcomes:

We are grateful to all entrants to the awards, and everyone who was able to join us to celebrate. We are looking forward to the next iteration of the awards, where we hope to once more recognise the impact our Member organisations are having on worldwide mental health and wellbeing.

Promoting Equity, Diversity & Inclusion


Highly Commended: Critical Software for their initiative which recruits, trains and integrates individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder into their engineering teams.

Winner: Standard Chartered Bank Singapore for their holistic approach to inclusion, catering to the needs of individuals experiencing a range of life circumstances.


Social Impact


Highly Commended: Laura Brown, Wells Fargo for her work, supported by her organisation, in creating a book aimed at empowering young children to express their thoughts and feelings.

Winner: Grupo Ageas for showcasing a platform offering training programmes in response to the needs of society, with an ethos of combating social exclusion.


Innovative Practice


Highly Commended: AstraZeneca who created their own wellbeing app in-house, as the result of impressive collaboration between business areas and employee networks

Winner: Fidelidade and their innovative approach to understanding and
acting on the psychosocial risk experienced by their people.


Early Careers


Winner: CTT for their balanced and wellbeing-centric approach to their trainee programme, beyond the initial induction and on-boarding process


Leadership - Organisation


Highly Commended: Grupo Ageas , who employed a creative approach to incorporating leadership into their organisational action plan.

Winner: BNY Mellon for a programme from their diverse abilities network which ensures that leaders are engaged in wellbeing advocacy, storytelling, listening and sharing.


Leadership - Individual


Kevin Ellis of PwC: Highly Commended for his efforts to champion workplace wellbeing internally and externally to PwC, and the significant impact he has left on employees.

Winner: Shaulee Khan, HSBC for spearheading numerous wellbeing and D&I initiatives across a broad geographic remit, including targeting challenging and stigmatised subjects like heightened suicide risk amongst certain professions.
