Andy Flockton

Andy has worked in the field of mental health for over 36 years. Most of those years (24) in the NHS in England as an Occupational Therapist working across various age ranges and sectors and as a service manager and change manager.
For the last 13 years Andy has specialised as a mental health consultant and mental health trainer to a range of sectors, including:
- the financial and legal sector, with global companies such as Bank of England, Deloitte, EY, Unilever, to SME's;
- health care commissioning and providers;
- education - including the state and independent sector, higher and further education;
- local authorities;
- the civil service, including parliament.
From director level to factory floor workers, Andy is highly experience in supporting the development and enhancement of mentally healthy workplaces.
Andy is a MHFA first aid instructor and a Suicide First Aid Instructor and a National Trainer for MHFA England and an associate with Mind Forward Alliance. He has delivered more than 600 mental health first aid courses since 2009 and has mentored over 200 trainee instructors through the MHFA England instructor programme. He has also delivered over 25 Suicide first aid courses.
Andy has written and co authored many of MHFA England’s training products, contributing His skills and experience in to the development of excellent training courses.
