Helen Oldfield

Helen is the Group Deputy General Counsel for BNY and an advisor to BNY’s material legal entities and branches based in the EMEA region. She is the executive sponsor of the firm’s diverse abilities resource group, HEART, which raises awareness and supports the talent of employees with diverse abilities. She also serves as the executive sponsor of the firm’s relationship with The Sutton Trust, a UK charity that champions social mobility through programmes, research, and policy influence. In addition, Helen is the senior sponsor of the Legal Department’s Community Outreach Programme.
Helen received a B.A. from the University of Durham, postgraduate legal qualifications (CPE and LPC) from the College of Law (York) and qualified as a chartered Company Secretary in 2019.
