Yong Weng Hong
Executive Director, Singapore
Weng Hong is responsible for the direction and day-to-day operations of MindForward Alliance in Singapore. He manages all aspects of the chapter’s work, from building stakeholder relationships and business development to content curation, global liaison, and the oversight of the organization's regulatory and operational integrity.
Weng Hong has led the localization of key global initiatives for the Singapore market—notably the Parent’s Guide and the Thriving at Work Program —and established a network of local trainers to support member organizations.
Maintaining an active presence in the local mental health discourse, Weng Hong frequently serves as a speaker and moderator to facilitate constructive dialogue on workforce wellbeing. He focuses on providing businesses with practical "handles" to navigate complex mental health challenges, ensuring discussions remain grounded in corporate reality.
Weng Hong’s advocacy is built on over 20 years of regional leadership experience in finance and operations. Having held senior roles at organizations such as Heineken and Asia Pacific Breweries, he applies a commercial lens to mental health, helping organizations treat employee wellbeing as a fundamental driver of business resilience and success.
Weng Hong is committed to mental health impact beyond the workplace, serving as a Board Member and Treasurer for Project Green Ribbon, a non-profit dedicated to youth mental health. Guided by his faith, he also serves as a church board member and group leader. In his leisure time, he stays active through walking and weight training and enjoys traveling.
